Frequently asked questions about subscriptions

What does it mean I can test shipcloud for free?

You can try shipcloud for a period of one month, during which we will waive the monthly and transaction fees. This way you’ll have enough time to properly test all features of shipcloud.

At the end of that trial period, you will only be billed for any shipping labels you have created through shipcloud. Therefore you will be required to enter your payment details before starting your subscription.

If you decide to do an upgrade to another pricing plan during this initial one-month period, you will also be billed for the new standing charge. After the first month your membership will be automatically extended and will continue with a payable standing charge for your chosen subscription. If you cancel your subscription before the end of the trial period, your account will automatically be closed at the end of that period.

Please note that there are subscriptions without this trial period. If you are uncertain about your subscription choice, our support team will be happy to assist you.

From which countries can I use shipcloud?

Our offer, with all connected carriers and services, is so far only available to customers from Germany in full.

Shipping from other countries is possible under the following conditions:

If you want to use our service outside of Germany, at the moment only UPS, DPD and GLS are available as carriers, only with own contracts from the respective countries.

What does the service cost and how much are shipping labels when ordered through shipcloud?

In addition to the monthly and transaction fees for your chosen pricing plan, you will be charged for each shipping label you create. If you do not have a direct account with a carrier, you can send your shipments through shipcloud business rates. Shipping charges vary by carrier, shipment dimensions and/or weight, and the destination country.

Which payment methods can I use with shipcloud?

To all new customers credit card payment (MasterCard and Visa) as well as PayPal and SEPA direct debiting payment are available.

Per request we can also check if we can provide you payment on account . Please write us an email to support@shipcloud.io after your registration and our billing department will check the opportunity.

How long is the contract period?

After the first month you can cancel your shipcloud subscription every month at the end of your contractual period. Please note that special rules apply when upgrading or downgrading your account (see next question).

Can I change my subscription at a later date?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Each pricing plan is valid for one month. All upgrades are active from the time of purchase. You will also receive a credit for any time remaining on your previous billing period. This credit will be deducted from the first month's payment for the new billing period. If you downgrade your pricing plan, your new plan will become active at the end of the current billing period. For example, if you started your current subscription on the 15th day of a particular month, your downgrade will become active on the 15th day of the following month.

Please note that the starter subscription will not longer be available after you change your subscription. Therefore you can’t downgrade to a starter-subscription.

How does sending shipments with carriers work?

Ship with your own carrier accounts

Do you already have your own accounts with one or more of the carriers supported by shipcloud? From our Professional subscription you can easily integrate your existing accounts for all connected carriers (DHL, DHL Express, Deutsche Post, UPS, DPD, Hermes, GLS, MyDPD Business (iloxx), GO!, PARCEL.ONE, Cargo International und ANGEL). You can also optimize your shipping costs by using our business rates for the carriers UPS, DPD and DHL in addition to your own carrier accounts.

Use the shipcloud business rates

DHL, DPD and UPS are currently available in all subscriptions via shipcloud business rates.

If you would like to know the rates for calculating your costs in advance please register at shipcloud first. Once you have registered you can request the current rates in the WebUI under the menu item "Shipment Quote". Unfortunately we are unable to publish shipping rates on our website.

What other integrations can I use with shipcloud?

With shipcloud you can easily connect more than 130 different shop, ERP, inventory management, marketplace, checkout and fulfillment systems. You can get an overview of our integrations here.
